When you are looking for a EasyCap driver, the only place to download it fully working and updated is this website, which explained you before and talked about capturing your favourite TV show and setting it up for Xbox 360 and PS3, in the easy and the most simple way (just like cheap recording in SD), without being clustered with cables, blue or red ones. Compatibility of this software is just perfect, it works on Windows 7, Xp and even on MACintosh which i rarely see getting support from manufactures.

Macintosh with Easycap, a good combination ?

While there are more and more viruses as you may heard on the macintosh, more and more so called “apps” are also coming the the mac, will the Easycap ever see a daylight with the Mac or are we here to wait for something that’s not coming.

Here is the good news, it’s here ! Yes, and Mac version of the app has come to the planet, which should make some Apple “fan-boys” and casual users really happy. It’s pretty much like original, named USB 2.0 Audio/Video Capture/Surveillance Dongle for under $26 bucks.

So the price is still really cheap, unlike dazzle which seems to move up in everything but progress which we can see in easycap, more and more quality settings keep popping out on the internet for the users for free, while the price is actually going lower and everything more tuned in. What about Snow Leopard or Lion X, does it work on all software versions ? Well it does not, on Snow Leopard don’t expect recording any games or tv shows or what soever cause it’s probably still in works. Multi touch pad should work without any hiccups which we can more than uncommon see in other programs on the Macintosh PC’s.

While Easycap, and it’s driver get’s easy done with downloading it from this website, there are other devices we need to connect to our computer / console, while using it . One of those are web cams, usb’s and PCI driver‘s.

While on Windows Xp, and Windows Vista (don’t forget 7) you can always check current devices connected to USB port, and the ones that are already in your computer. The important thing to have, is drivers. Easycap driver is one example, of and software needed for a hardware to work, which you can download from the top of the website easily, just by clicking on it. Every heard of command “regedit”, if not than you shouldn’t really read this, since it’s not for everyone, PC can easily be broken just by messing in it for it’s software driver which we are talking about.

So in regedit it’s important to go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE and fin your company which produced this software you are looking for, if it’s a web cam for example look for CANON or LOGITECH, but for PCI look for Microsoft, and for it to look for the same name as the device we need for our working computer.

What does ACTA and SOPA mean for easycap ?

As you may already heard SOPA and PIPA are on the shelves right now, before the protests of Wikipedia,Google,Reddit and WordPress it may have actually passed and made damage not only to the internet but to the easycap customers which are SOME making a living of capturing video game footage.

ACTA, the bill that could end right of free speech and any kind of recording TV shows or video games that  is ILLEGAL according to this rule even tought its for personal use, that may even pass (Sweden has agreed to sign it,even tought they have Pirate Party over there). So what to do ? You can always contact your congressman and authorities trought email or something that will let them know how much we need their support to DECLINE this bill.

Imagine if you go on and play let’s say Gears of War 3 on Xbox 360 and right the moment when you go to Youtube to upload recorded footage with  you get 2 days later a warning and even maybe a jail sentence. That is ACTA and SOPA , and we need to stop it.

Old Microsoft patent sure does remind us on easycap

Microsoft actually wanted from the start for their users to be able with streaming to record the video footage on their Xbox 360′s, just like what we do with Easycap. The whole idea was proposed or patent 4 years before and nothing happened which is a pure shame since it would allow us the most easiest way to record video games, without and 3rd party apps and hardware. As you can see they all got it planed, so can we hope for and expect this kind of working idea in next generation of console from Microosft (called Xbox 720). With Sony and Microsoft in war there is also a huge chance that Sony would add something similar.
